I predict 2019 will see a huge growth in body care with skin care ranges offering body care treatments that we presently only think of for the face. For example, serums and masques for the hands, feet or specific body areas.

My second prediction is a broader approach to holistic and environmentally-friendly skincare including spiritual crystal products. I believe and hope all packaging will shift towards plant based plastics or glass that are all recyclable.

My main resolution is to continue to take beauty supplements. I currently take Seven Seas Perfect 7 Renewal Advanced and Renew Life Digest More. Meanwhile, Proverb Lifefuelled skincare for men have supplements as part of their recommended skincare routine. I believe we will see this trend growing in the beauty market.

I also intend is to jump on the trend for Sunday home facials. I aim to apply a different mask every week and will be popping them on my Instagram stories and letting you know the results and why I love them.

I have three Caudalie beauty recommendations for 2019: Vine[Activ] Overnight Detox Oil, Vinosource S.O.S Thirst-Quenching Serum and their hero product Beauty Elixir to rejuvenate and rehydrate tired and dry skin this winter season:

Vine[Activ] Overnight Detox Oil

This dry oil helps tired skin regenerateitself overnight. Upon awakening, skin appears radiant, regenerated and refreshed. It draws out the skin's impurities and toxins leaving the skin rejuvenated and revived.

Vinosource S.O.S Thirst - Quenching Serum

This ultra-light serum restores the skin's hydration levels through its combination of powerful rehydrating active ingredients, leaving the skin feeling refreshed, soft and plump.

Beauty Elixir

This best-selling facial mist is essential this new year to refresh and rejuvenate a dull complexion. Its multi-purpose function can be used to smooth away fine lines, tighten pores and, most importantly, provide the skin with an instant boost of radiance following the party season.

Turmeric

I also recommend turmeric. The anti-inflammatory qualities can target your pores and calm the skin. Turmeric is also known to reduce scarring. You can make your own face mask:

Face mask:

  • 2 tablespoons of flour. You can use regular flour, rice flour or ground oats if your skin is dry.
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric.
  • 3 tablespoons milk - you can also use yoghurt to fight acne.
  • Add a few drops of honey (any kind will work but manuka is especially good for acne).

Apply only a thin layer - leave for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Be your own Beauty Foodologist. For happy skin and sparkling eyes, buy yourself a bag of lemons! Yes lemons.

These are a natural beauty wonder working inside and out for radiant glowing skin. There are so many beauty uses for this zingy fruit, Drink it with warm water to flush through your body. Make your own antibacterial face scrubs or, if your skin is feeling dry, simply make a mask by mixing equal amounts of lemon, honey and olive oil, allow to dry for 10 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Lemons speed up skin renewal to brighten skin and treat blemishes. No harsh chemicals, all natural, enhancing your inner beauty.
