HOW TO DO NUDE LIPS? OUR CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST LISA ARMSTRONG SHARES HER LIP TIPS
Introducing AVON’s new Perfect Nudes collection, Amelia Blason, PR Officer checks the bare essentials for nude lipstick with Lisa Armstrong...
You'd think choosing and applying nude lipstick would be easy? Not so according to Lisa Armstrong talking to Amelia Blason, PR Officer for Avon:
'People tend to think it’s the boldest colours that are hardest to choose, but actually using nude lip colours is a lot harder. You want to accentuate your own lips – that’s the point of a lipstick! It’s not about making your lips blend into your skin tone. The rule is to contrast your nude with your skin tone – that works across the board from fair to dark.
'If you have a pale, fair skin tone then go for a dusky pink, petal or rose colour to lift and brighten the complexion. If you’ve got a bluey, red undertone then you want to choose a nude that is more golden because the gold will brighten, freshen and lift up your skin.'
