STAY CALM AND CARRY ON BACKSTAGE AT STRICTLY

Head of Makeup on Strictly, Lisa Armstrong has Rescue Remedy at the ready for calming celebs and tissues for the tears on Strictly Come Dancing... 

It's not all fake tan and glitter (environmentally friendly glitter, that is) backstage at Strictly. The Makeup Team headed by our Makeup and Hair Artist, Lisa Armstrong, is on stand-by with tissues to mop up the tears, going through several boxes when the adorable Katie Piper left the show on Sunday. 

Last week, Lisa also had to get out the Rescue Remedy for, Seann Walsh, for whom there had been rather too much 'media' in 'comedian', to help him get through his live performance on Saturday.

Meanwhile for Week Five, next weekend, can the makeup get any more glamorous? As one celebrity pointed out on It Takes Two, the makeup brief is for 'more and more and more'.  We hear that around 60 litres of fake tan and over 500 cans of hairspray are used every season plus, we estimate, at least 10 kilometres of eyeliner...
